Collection: Chaos Knights

Stride forward with twisted honour and dark powers in the horrific, towering machines of the Chaos Knights.

The Horus Heresy divided the entire Imperium 10,000 years ago, and the knight houses were not exempt from this great divide. For every loyal knight house, there was one that fell to Chaos either from ancient treaties or in the search of greater power. Now, their once-glorious war machines are corrupted and reshaped beyond recognition, and their honour and vows lie shredded in the tides of history.

Like their loyalist counterparts, Chaos Knights in 40k come in small numbers, but although many of their machines share a base form, they operate quite differently. Packs of War Dogs in all their varieties roam the battlefield looking for smaller targets, while the towering Desecrators, Abominants and Tyrants deliver the heaviest punch to annihilate the foe. Mightier still are the corrupted Cerastus Knights, bigger and faster than any of their smaller brethren.

On the battlefield, a standard Chaos Knights force comes in at only ten or so models, and choosing movement and targets carefully is essential. Unlike the loyalists, Chaos Knights make good use of the intense fear they cause to shake enemy morale, weakening their forces before delivering an overwhelming strike.

Getting started with Chaos Knights

If you’re starting a new hive fleet with Tyranids in Malta, here are some basic beasties you’ll need:

  • War Dog Brigands - Smaller knights geared toward dismantling smaller enemies at range with terrifying threat against both infantry and armour.
  • War Dog Karnivores - Fast, and armed with terrifying melee weaponry, Karnivores aim to shred through all opposition in service to their lords.
  • Knight Tyrant - A fortress on legs that casts a shadow even over other knights, the Tyrant brings colossal firepower to any force.
  • Knight Abominant - Monstrous and terrifying to behold, the Abominant can wield ruinous warp powers and immense firepower alike.
